A regatta is a sailing competition. There are dozens of classes and formats, but in an amateur race you do not need professional skills: desire and teamwork are enough.
Which boats
- RS-21: small sport boats on which we race in Tbilisi.
- J/70: a 7-metre boat weighing under a ton, giving very thrilling sailing.
- One-design 42–45 ft cruising yachts: the format of our regatta in Turkey.
Small boats have almost no room inside, so participants stay ashore in a hotel or apartments.
How a camp works
First, coaching with an instructor: on the water morning and afternoon, a theory course in the evening. Everyone gets a role on the boat and sharpens their skills. Then the race days: several starts a day, with the results counted.
What you get
- Skills in handling a sport sailboat.
- The experience of a real regatta.
- A photo and video report, awards and a celebration dinner.
- A crew of like-minded people.
Where to go
In autumn and spring we run the RS-21 camp in Tbilisi, and all winter the OneClick Winter Series rounds run in Georgia with steady wind.
