Turkey: Göcek to Kekova, a Lycian coast yacht tour

Accommodation

We slept on a 2022 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440 or similar, in double cabins. Two bathrooms and a kitchen with a fridge and gas stove are at guests’ disposal.

Day-by-day program

1. 1

   Day 1

   We meet at the home marina, Ece Marina in Fethiye, check in to the yacht, hold a safety briefing and shop for provisions. Dinner in Fethiye at Pasha Kebab.

2. 2

   Day 2

   To Gemiler island, our favourite point on the route. Ruins of ancient Lycia, clear water and an unforgettable sunset we watch from the island’s highest point.

3. 3

   Day 3

   To Kekova island, our farthest point. An old Simena fortress, an ancient sunken city and crystal-clear water. We spend the night by a pontoon restaurant.

4. 4

   Day 4

   We anchor nearby, take a tour around the island, look at the sunken city, swim and snorkel. By evening we move to the town of Kaş and berth in the marina.

5. 5

   Day 5

   After exploring Kaş we head to Kalkan, home to one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey, Kaputaş.

6. 6

   Day 6

   From Kalkan to Butterfly Valley, a mind-blowing spot with sheer cliffs overhanging the water.

7. 7

   Day 7

   The final day of our odyssey. Before handing back the yacht we have time for a restaurant meal and a swim in the warm waters of the bay.
